MetroCard Collage on paper, 11H x 8.5”

“Back to Black” –Do New Yorkers wear a lot of black? Um... yes. Here are eleven (plus one baby), sketched as I strolled around the East Village and then memorialized in MetroCards. A number accessorize with splashes of color but some are proudly 100% black-clad. Seven of the eleven carry a phone (black, too) for all to see. I might do a Volume II as I barely scratched the surface with these.
