MetroCard Collage and ink on paper, on 11H x 8.5” paper

“Bird Brains” – I’ve recently made collages of proud dog walkers and of owners of more unusual pets like ferrets and pigs, so began wondering how it would look if people walked their pet... birds. Yes, I’ve seen people with parrots on their shoulders, but decided to go further afield for this collage. Here, submitted for your approval, is a collage of imagined New Yorkers walking (or being carried by) pet birds which include a bald eagle, a goose (and her golden egg), two hummingbirds, an ostrich, and four penguins (one of whom is sitting down on the job).
