"Giraffe" – While strolling on Greenpoint Avenue, I saw and sketched one of those mechanized lifts. Atop it, a man was washing windows. I began pondering more interesting tasks he might do… and came up with this scenario: a giraffe was bound for a party, but had forgotten to put on her purple bow. She had a stiff neck, though, so couldn’t bend her head down so the bow could be placed on her forehead. A worker on a mechanized lift came in handy! Here they are: giraffe, worker, mechanized lift. They and the frame are made from MetroCards. The background is pen-&-ink.
