“MetroPolitan Museum” – Not Keith Haring or René Magritte or Piet Mondrian or Georgia O’Keeffe or even Andy Warhol ever put down their paint and brush and picked up MetroCards and a pair of scissors instead to create new work. Hard to believe, right? So, to correct that oversight, I now present the opening of McKean’s MetroPolitan Museum of Art with five representative works by these artists - all re-created in MetroCards, of course.
